A blog is used to entertain. Writing a blog that has no emotion in it makes a reader choose not to read it. You have to add entertainment and flow to the post to make the reader interested and entertained. Here are links that I've seen that has lots of entertainment in it.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/celebrity/ Talks gossip about celebrity and for me it is interesting and entertaining because it is always updated and it can keep readers interested as most of its topic is intriguing as it draws people's attention.
http://1000awesomethings.com/ This website is pretty funny because most of its topic is really about funny and awesome stuff that happens during our daily life. What's really entertaining about this is that it uses a countdown so it makes it interesting.
2. It is used to inform: A blog should have lots of information so that the reader would learn lots of things and it is a big purpose of a blog. Here are links that inform us about things.
http://www.bloglockers.com/ Informs us about daily news on American sports and some other international sports too but majorly focuses on sports that competes in North America.
http://www.engadget.com/ Informs us about newly invented or updated technologies like phones, laptops and game consoles.
3. It is used to persuade: A blog should convince readers to support the writer's idea and opinion. Here are links that I think is persuasive.
http://weblog.greenpeace.org/ This website persuades us that we could help save the earth we live in. Right now a big problem in our nature is Nuclear Reaction as it's radiation is harmful and this website tells us that we should really do something about it and right now this website focuses on Nuclear Reaction.
http://gizmodo.com/ This site informs and persuades. It informs us about technologies like Engadget but then this site also persuades us to buy technologies as technology gets better.
